Paula joins our staff with 26 years of teaching elementary and middle grades experience in Pinellas County Schools. She has served three years as PCTA’s Vice-President and five years as an Executive Board Director. Paula has experience bargaining with PCSB and has sat on the professional development advisory committee. She represented PCTA members at the annual meetings for NEA and AFT. Additionally, Paula is one of our PCTA’s trainers for our reading courses. Her passion for advocacy will be an asset to all our members.

Kevin joins PCTA-PESPA with over 10 years of experience working in the labor movement. During his time as an Organizer/Representative, he has organized with a broad range of workers including college faculty, graduate students, hotel workers, and county workers. Kevin began his journey into labor organizing as a graduate student, where he became a Union member for the first time. Growing up in a family of Union members, he learned about the importance of organized labor from a young age. He is deeply committed to defending public education and to both organizing and advocating with educators and education professionals.

Prior to coming to PCTA-PESPA Sheryl taught for 30 years at Westgate Elementary School in Pinellas County.  She was an active PCTA member and building representative.  She is now working with PCTA & PESPA in her second career as the Membership Specialist. In this position, she is tasked with keeping accurate membership records, answering phones and helping complete projects. Sheryl is now a proud member of PEER (our retired sister union).
