FURLOUGHS AND HEALTH INSURANCE ISSUES RESOLVED
After months of budget cuts, school board workshops and budget hearings, PCTA and PESPA were able to conclude negotiations regarding furlough days and health insurance. District negotiators had proposed two days of mandatory unpaid leave for 10 month personnel since the end of last school year. For most support professionals that amounted to a $200 pay cut. The end result of negotiations is that PCTA and PESPA successfully bargained NO FURLOUGH DAYS!
