The meeting was called to order at 5:15.

 

In attendance:  Jim Madden, Rich Wisemiller, Princess Fleming, Gayle Frey, Claudius Effiom, Margie Emr

 

Master Schedules:

  • Jim Madden will ask administrators at all levels to provide him with their master

             and ESE  schedules, and meeting schedule/calendar

 

Protocol for Pro Education:

  • Pro Ed responsibilities have been transferred to the Department of Human Resources.
  • LMS offerings in 2009-2010 will be narrowed and aligned to those that increase student achievement and teacher effectiveness.
  • Professional development offerings and the new performance appraisal should be aligned.
  • Training for ESE Associates should be planned and implemented on Professional Development Days.  (This would be particularly helpful to those ESE Associates who ride the bus and, therefore, cannot attend after school trainings.)

 

SEIU Employees:

  • Jim Madden will gather data from surrounding counties regarding recognition and compensation for training specific to the job functions of this group.

 

Bus Training:  

  • Request face-to-face /hands-on training for all ESE Associates
  • Revisit the training format and increase the emphasis on safety so ESE

 Associates are adequately trained to meet their unique job requirements.

  

Compensation for Support Professionals with 2 or 4 Year Degrees:

  • Discussion – no recommendations.
